Well prepared for one, Salk was the first, and actually produced probably the best vaccine, at least by current standards. Sabin vaccine has been used as a little easier at a level of public health - so it's been used so far. Sabin different accounts they describe as a bit too stretched.

It is possible that the fact that the American Salk was born and raised, while Sabin was in Eastern Europe, the space at the height of the Cold War was born.

Good question, especially given the fact that the Salk vaccine to prevent infection.

Note that Salk was on the staff of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and works with the National Foundation for polio, which he had so much support. His testimony and the search for a vaccine against polio are very complex and have received much attention. Now hear this: "When the news of the discovery made public April 12, 1955, Salk was employed as a" miracle welcomes "and the" day is almost a national holiday. "He is loved by the public by refusing to patent the vaccine for their personal benefit, because he wants to spread as far and as fast as possible and patents that have prevented it. On the question of who owned the patent, Salk, said: "There is no panacea. Could you patent the sun? "What a diplomat, eh?

Also supporting the March of Dimes, the Salk vaccine against polio and died attenuated vaccine against Albert Sabin. Sabin vaccine, an American, was used in all regions of the world, but in the not thank you from the United States for the "Golden Boy" Jonas Salk. Sabin and criticized [law] Salk vaccine, but later apologized, but had fallen out of favor was hopeless.

It was a policy issue and that you know. This does not mean that Albert did not have its own connections. I think they were simply not true. Salk was not necessarily the first, but the vaccine was released to the public in 1955. Sabin was completed, its own vaccine trial in 1954 and until 1960. And it worked.
